About the presenter
Abdul Alkalimat is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Africana Studies program at the University of Toledo and the creator of "Malcolm X: A Research Site." He moderates the largest African-American studies discussion list, H-Afro-Am, and is a member of the editorial boards of Information, Communication, and Society, cy.Rev, and Black Scholar. Professor Alkalimat is working on a book on Cybertechnology and the Black Experience, and he has published widely on technology and African American issues. His Malcolm X site is one of the most extensive and widely used African American history sites on the web.
